2 park day

Rob took UB, Nana, Abba and Bub on a work tour. They all enjoyed it.

In the meantime Hannah and I took the kids to a nearby playground.

It is right by a dock where lots of ships are stored and a cute little restaurant called Capt Pat’s. 

When they finished the tour they met us at the restaurant for lunch. I had the most delicious crab cake and a pretty average cream of crab soup. The Diet Coke was also spot on.

When we got home there was a lot of resting going on by the menfolk so we girls took E to swim. At least that was our intention. When we got to the hotel it turned out there was no pool. Bummer.

I knew we were pretty near a splash pad and we headed over there hoping it was open. 

It was, but only for the next 45 minutes. We went in anyway and E mostly had a fun time. Hannah did have to go to the bathroom at one point and he was pretty mad about that.

The “warden” of the splash pad was not happy when we showed up so close to closing time. He grumped at us and charged me for everyone even though only Ez was going to play. 

He gave us very disgruntled looks until almost the end of our time playing. It was then that Nana walked up to him and they had a nice chat and she made him laugh. She used her feminine wiles on him because when we packed up to leave (exactly on time btw), he gave me back most of the money and was very pleasant. 

We played on the cute playground next door for a bit and then drove thru McD for E. He was asleep by the time we hit our driveway. 

Hannah put Lana down and then everyone left for dinner. I am enjoying a quiet evening babysitting and reading my book.
