I heard the babies before Hannah did today. She was super tired after her long flight with no sleep and then staying up until midnight with Lu.  It was so fun to get them up. Lana wakes up with big smiles and a big stretch. Ezra got up and played with toys in his closet.

Jamie invited us over to swim and that was the perfect way to spend our morning.
Ezra impressed us all with his cute tadpole swimming skills.

The girls fixed dinner while I held LanaπŸ’•

After dinner we went on a neighborhood walk.

Hannah found a lot she likes πŸ˜‚
I had vowed to keep out of the boys haircut business but Hannah invited me in so we did our best.
Then filled out our little pool to make up for it.
Before and After. He looks so handsome!
8pm baths and bedtime snuggles.

10:30 pm. Ezra was “sleeping”, just kidding he was eating pie and watching us play uno.
Hannah said “why are you still up? Answer me, I know you can talk, I’ve heard you”. To which he replied “no I can’t!”

Red Eye

Hannah braved the red eye flight as the lone adult with her two cuties. Ezra barely slept and it was a hard flight for them.  I am so glad that she was willing to come.  Luckily, they will be here for a little over a month, so it'll be worth the hard flight.
Grandpa got to meet Lana πŸ’•
She is the sweetest baby.  We love her and are so glad that she's in our family.
Rob has become a good bird photographer.

Ezra remembered me! although he was very tired all day, we had a good one!

Projects

When you have a new house there is no end to the list of things you need to do to get it ready to live in. Rob spends hours in his yard. He has a vision, which will eventually be very lovely.
Yesterday Grace and I assembled bunk beds for the bunk room. We have our first grand-visitors coming soon!
I am going to take up quilting, earnestly. I have only made baby quilts. These Halloween quilts are so cute. Maybe I will make something so appealing someday.

Lana brought me a quilt when we were in the hospital for Sierra’s recovery. I love it. It was a warm hug that I wrapped up in every night.
I love these pictures of old women. I want to embrace getting old joyfully.  Not that I’m old now…but I will be in 15 years so there’s that.

Blessing Day

Lana Evelyn was given a name and a blessing today. She was surrounded by family who loves her, and she was in the thoughts of family who live far away.

It’s a sweet day.

I’m so glad that Anna got to goπŸ’•

Making friends with the neighbors.
Grace and I went to the Calvert Marine Museum this morning. I was happy to see they still had otters. I had read that one died.
We have new eggs. Rob keeps a good eye on all the bird happenings in the yard.
Cutie !
The yard requires a lot of work, mostly Rob’s. I helped a little today. We burned some brush. The fire was super hot. I almost burned my face off roasting a marshmallow.
Sweet picture. Pinterest is full of fun ideas and projects and pictures and recipes.

Hume, VA

We picked Grace up from trek. She actually had a really fun time and said she was glad she went.

After we stopped by Cafe Rio. The closest one to us is almost 3 hours away and since we were “near” one we stopped.

Many other trekkers stopped as well. Unplanned. Idk why Mormons love Cafe Rio so much but it is delicious so I’m happy to join in the love πŸ’—

Grace left this morning at 5:30 for trek. Hopefully it’ll be a lovely experience for her.
She rode up with Abby, Logan and Jaiden.

These two drove to CA for the Crawley family reunion. So fun! We need to have a family reunion. We are the lamest!

Trek

Yesterday Grace decided she’d like to go to trek. The stake youth leaders were very accommodating and said she was welcome.

One benefit to living in southern MD is that you can drive to the Amish market and buy a bonnet. Then we went to Joann’s and got some fabric. Grace spent the afternoon and evening and night making skirts and an apron. We will handle the rest of the list tomorrow.

Tonight we had our four missionaries over for dinner. They stayed after dinner to play nertz. Grace won. Of course.

My new calling has me over missionary work and activities. I’ve never had a calling that involved missionary work so that’s pretty exciting!

Grace called us down because it was so noisy in the basement. She wasn’t wrong. There are frogs all over the windows and walls and downstairs it’s much nosier than upstairs!

I got a calling today. RS counselor.  I’m excited. I have felt my heart being drawn to the women of the church and I’ve had an inkling that I might be called to serve in relief society. I would have been excited with any calling but this will be great. Tiffannie is the president, and Manuela is the 2nd counselor. Janet, a cute new member of 3 months, is the secretary. I think it’s going to amazing!

Darcy is so so cute! I miss her so much. And I miss the beach.
