Taco tuesday

Just kidding, we didn’t eat tacos. That’s pretty much how 2020
is going though. Nothing you expect. Nothing but bad news.

I found this gem in Val’s photo album. I don’t know if I ever saw this picture of me and baby Jenna early 2003.

Today Rob and I drove around Heber, looking around. It’s very pretty. We hung out with family. Everyone went to Tatum’s softball game, which was really fun:)

Thanksgiving Point

Idk if it’s Covid or the fact that it was 49 degrees today but we pretty much had the run of the place. It was not at all crowded and we played and played.

Ethan wanted to go to Kneaders so we started with breakfast then Dani went to school and we tried to get out the door. We had some hiccups, including poor Tatum had a horrible headache and she ended up staying home to sleep. (And she threw up and Jo had to go stay with her:( , I felt so bad for her.)

We got to Thanksgiving Point and went to Ashton Gardens first. It was beautiful and I love the sculpture garden. It is amazing and feels sacred. The kids loved running around, but also look at the scenes from the Savior’s life. They told each story and really were so cute!
We also went to the museum of curiosity.

At around 4 we left and met whoever wanted to go at Cupbop.
Then we went to FiZ for a fundraiser.
And finally back to Val’s.

Each night finds us talking way too late. (Which I love)

Anna and the boys leave tomorrow :( :( :(

Sunday

We’ve been staying at Val’s. It’s been a tough week. There have also been sweet times. They have lots of friends and family who are so supportive. For me it’s been great to see everyone despite the tragic circumstances. I’ve been trying to be helpful and supportive and to do all I can.

Every night we stay up really really late.

Day camping

We went up to Buffalo Peak and spent the day camping. It was really beautiful there and everyone had a great time. The kids came home filthy! It was a good day:)

Fishing

In the evening we went fishing. The kids had a great time and between everyone about 25-30 fish were caught.

It was a shockingly good fish expedition and we all said Tanner must be sending us those fish, because that was his favorite hobby and he loves his family:)

Services

Today was Tanner’s funeral. I will probably write about it some time but for now I’ll just say that it was beautiful and very sad.

Spencer and Ryan spoke and did such a great job.
Breanna sang.
There were tons of people there and we put stickers on his casket.
