Boat Day

 

We had reserved a pontoon boat months ago and I was looking forward to boat day since then. 

It did not disappoint, everyone went out on it and everyone had fun. Well to be fair Cora didn’t love it but that’s okay and Sawyer didn’t go on it..so most everyone. Both Sawyer and Cora had good days despite the lack of boating love. We just had a pleasant day.

Dinner was yummy. I bought too much food and we only have one day left and still have lots of food left, this is a repeat problem for me. I never know how much food I need for a crowd!

Anyway, the days are going much too quickly. And I am trying to soak it all in and keep it all in my memory!

Day 2

We took a walk this morning that ended up with me and Dani carrying Ruby and Cora a long way. 

Some people went to Yellowstone and they said it was great!

Nana and Abba and UB came today, it was fun to see them. Tomorrow they are going to Yellowstone but will be back for dinner so we will get to visit some more.

We spent a lot of time on the water, swimming, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing.

Games were played, an episode of Sofia the first was watched, there was chatting and napping and hot tubbing.

Poor Ez hasn’t been sleeping well. He’s been fussy and sad. Which is hard.

It is very idyllic here, so relaxing and peaceful. I love it!

There is nothing I love more than spending time with these people, family is everything.

 

Day 1

We got to the cabin and were pleased to see that it was big and it was nice. There was a little smell when we first came in that turned out to be bat. Apparently there are a lot of bats in Idaho and in fact when the sun began to set we saw tons of them!

The cabin is right on the water and it’s so beautiful. Jenna and Grace saw deer and blue herons while kayaking.

Today is Ethan’s pday and we got to talk to him, it’s super nice to have everyone else here in person and to be able to spend these days together. 

Fun fact it doesn’t get dark until almost 10pm. So crazy! The boys fished until they couldn’t see any more. 

We grilled burgers and dogs for dinner and Dani made brownies for dessert.

I think it’s going to be an awesome trip!

 

Idaho

We left for Idaho a day before anyone else so we could spend some extra time with Ezra. Penny also came with us.

We had a nice drive and then when we got there we had a great afternoon. 

We went swimming at the hotel, Hannah made us a delicious dinner, we went to the temple grounds and the school gardens and we played games.
