6 weeks

It’s been 6 weeks since the accident. This morning I am sitting in the airport waiting to fly home. Rob and Grace have missed me, and I them, things are always better when mom is home. 

Sierra is doing much better. She still has one or two surgeries ahead of her, and lots of therapy and isn’t herself just yet but we remain hopeful that she will continue to recover. 

We are all coming back in two weeks and we’ll see how things are then. This weekend Mark and Bea are coming to visit and next week Sierra’s good friend Marylynn is staying with them. We also have some volunteer drivers and Jenna and Dani are both there so hopefully things will go great. In fact I’m sure they will.

Yesterday I took Si to her appointment. In the afternoon we all went to the splash pad and the kids played. Dani brought her easy up and we sat in the grass chatting. It was super relaxing and nice.

 In the evening we went to Tatum’s game. LuAnn also came down for the games and we had dinner together between Marshall’s and Tatum’s games. 

Unfortunately Dani drove over a nail on her way to Marty’s game. It gave her a flat tire. Greg stayed behind to change the tire and the jack slipped and and smashed his hand. His thumbnail split and he bleed a lot and got all scratched up. Chris drove by just then and helped, he brought Greg home and luckily I am an expert at wound care and we have all the supplies so we got him all fixed up. Then they went back to fix the tire.

Now that dance recitals are done Penny got to her her head shaved. She was so excited and looks very cute!

In the middle of the night Greg’s branch had an attempted robbery. Dani had to drive him over to meet with the detectives (Tylenol PM + hurt thumb). It is always an adventure.
