We almost didn’t go. Right now you have to make a reservation to go to a Disney park, as well as have a ticket. I made these the day the tickets opened thinking we wouldn’t be in school yet. Anyway, the school district has been all over the place and has changed our start date a couple of times as well as everything else it could be changing and doing (Covid). Grace had an appointment on campus with Lincoln in the afternoon and she was done and waiting in my office for me to be done when it started to thunder and lightening outside. We discussed not going since we’d only have a few hours at the park before it closed and now it was pouring rain, but decided to give it a go.
That turned out to be a great choice. The rain stopped, the weather had cooled down a little, and the park was empty.
We literally walked onto everything. We rode flights of passage twice, Navi river, kali river, Kilimanjaro safari, And we walked around looking at the animals. It was great!
The gorillas were fascinated by Lincoln. Two juvenile males stared at him and tried to get him to come close to the window. It was pretty funny to watch. We had a great time and made it home in time to make dinner and have family scriptures.
