Meanwhile

Back in Florida we have our baby Grace. All last week she stayed home and Lettie stayed with her. Kristina slept over at night, which was beyond kind especially since she has been so sick herself with ulcerative colitis. Grace can drive and the girls enjoyed driving to school and to the store and to band.

She also didn’t like it because no one wants their mom and dad to be gone for a week. She had to miss a doctors appointment and go buy dog food when Lincoln was out.

I felt terrible leaving her, but had to go.

Rob flew home and now the two of them are holding down the fort. Yesterday the Walkenhorsts had them over for dinner. I think ward members are bringing dinner every other day. That is so helpful and kind. It will take a burden off Rob and guarantee that they eat real food at least a few times a week!

This week begins AP testing and also its concert week. I’ve been so excited to go to the concerts this week so that’s a bummer:(

Sierra is having surgery on her clavicle tomorrow. We are really hoping this will help with a lot of her pain. Chris made her a quilt, which she loves!  All she wants is for him to come and visit her.
Except when she wants ice cream:). Last night she really wanted some so Jenna went to the store and snuck in after hours to bring it. She got to say Hi! and both girls were excited to see each other.

I dread the night. Her pain is always worse, as is the confusion and restlessness. It’s a battle and every night she’s mad and confused. I am grateful that the sun always rises and brings light to the darkest of nights. And of course I’m even more grateful for the Son who rose and takes away all the darkness from our lives. We just have to make it thru the night.
